Take a look at the pictures. Here is a lot of the stuff, thats going into the kitchen. So how come, I haven´t made the walls, floor and ceiling ready yet? Thats because I work backwards compared to a lot of you miniaturebloggers. I prefer to make the details first, and they tell me what kind of walls ect. I´ll need.
I am not certain about the floor yet, but I know it´s gonna be tiles, maybe terracotta.. The walls are going to be rough and painted in a creme-beige tone..I´ll also have to make some shelves..
Love, Susanne
I can't wait to see the walls and floor, what you are planning seems very good.
ReplyDeleteI love what you've got for your kitchen.
Geneviève
Wow...finally we get a glimpse of some of your stuff inside the house ;0) And it looks so promising. It´s going to be a very cosy kitchen... and teracotta tiles, yes indeed!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool Susanne! You said it is not done yet and I have the feeling this kitchen is ready and already in use:)Can't wait to see the walls painted and the tiles on the floor:)
ReplyDeleteYou have fabulous stuff! And I work backwards also in most cases, I have this image what I want the room to be, then see what I can get/what's available and then do the floor and walls last. And in most cases the whole thing just evolves so it might be totally different what I was thinking in the first place :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm ... I like it! I am curious to know what that red box on top floors: attracts me its look! For the rest: all beautiful, how easily prevedbile :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI collect the details first, too.
Placing it all like this is great - you can see how the pieces will interact in shape and colour.
Thanks!!
P.S. Maybe you do not followed my blog when I published the photos of the kitchen of Villa Elisa, with new floor chess. Only paper, but maybe it can make you some ideas...
ReplyDeleteSuzanne, you have a great collection here! I can see how it will inspire the decor and make your flooring and wall decisions easier. I'm one of the freaks who needed to finish the house first - I think I had to prove my committment to it to myself before spending the money on all the little stuff. Next time things could be verrrrry different. ;-)
ReplyDeleteCynthia
Thanks for your nice and supporting comments!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how everything is going to be there, because I have a lot of food and other things not shown on the pics;-)
Flora: The red box is actually an old box for band-aid/plaster, I think it must be from the 1950´ties. I just love it, I think I bought it on a flee marked at least 25 years ago, and nobody realized that it was a minature-thing! And thanks for the tip about tje floor, I will look into that.
The Old Maid: You are in fact right, because I have been displaying things in use for a long time, but not actually putting it all together. If you close enough on my earlier displays, you will se my fish, and the seafood, and the vegetableboxes, and...
Love, Susanne
Oh, I would never say! I felt something that had to do with the fire department of the dolls' house :-)
ReplyDeleteFlora, you were right, because in those times, the fire department often also had the responsibility of the band-aids and had those colors too ;-) But in fact its not a danish box. I fact it is german, as it says: LEUKOPLAST, 516, P. Beirsdorf & Co. A-G., Hamburg. The measure of the plaster is 1m x 1 cm ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove, Susanne
Terracota would be perfect. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that with all this great stuff your kitchen will look cosy and beautiful.
Un beso
The range is beautiful, so solid and comforting.
ReplyDeleteThis kitchen will be fantastic!!! You have so many lovely minis to put into it, and you have a great interior taste... so what ever you decide to do.. it will be perfect and stylish!!!
ReplyDeleteI actually did collect a lot of items for the french house...ended up not using them because over the long period of the finishing, my taste changed, ore I had other ideas and was influenced by others.
You work quicker... it's not a problem, I am sure:)))))
Synnøve:)
I am already certain that it will be wonderful, there is a beautiful collection in your kitchen.
ReplyDeletegroetjes Ingrid
I love the green chairs and the plate rack with the fish plates, of course! You have a great collection here. Can't wait to see how you do the floor!
ReplyDeleteYou have some wonderful items for your kitchen Susanne and I like your idea of working backwards. That is sort of what I am doing in my shop, but mainly because I like fiddling with the little things and putting off the major decisions about walls, flooring, lighting etc. Your kitchen is sure to be fabulous and I look forward to seeing it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful objects, Susanne, and what ever way you work is clearly very successful!
ReplyDeletees todo perfecto no le falta un detalle esta todo escogido con mucho gusto
ReplyDeleteun abrazo
It is quite perfect him lacking a detail this quite chosen gladly
An embrace
It's going to be just wonderful Susanne. I'm trying to be a good girl this time around so although as you know I already have a few things for the inside of the Brocante I'm concentrating on the outside first for once. I've changed my mind a million times on the layout of the 2 apartment floors above the shop but fairly satisified that I have now made the final decision (unless I change my mind again!) and am working out placement of ceiling lighting for the shop. I hope to have something to show you soon - at the moment it all looks like ****!
ReplyDeleteSusanne, what a great kithen! I love all things!
ReplyDeleteI´ve got an award for you to pic up in my blog!
Lena!
Thank you all of you for leaving comments.
ReplyDeleteHope to show you the floor later today.
Lena: Thanks for the award, I am glad that you thought of me. I can never decide whom to pass on to, so I am passing this on to all of my friends who comment on this blog and letting me see their miniwork.
Love, Susanne
