Bedroom inspiration
These days my new job is taking nearly all my time..not much left for miniatures. I´m dragging out old pieces, looking at them and combining them, in order to make plans for better mini-times..this time for bedrooms.
Here is the frame for a french metal bed, made from a fence; a quilt I made many years ago; some wall candlesticks; some small pictures in frames; and an embroidery I made about 25 years ago with a religious motive..the words say in old danish-bible language: "Kommer hid, I engle små"! - translated it must be something like: "Come hither, you angels, small"!

I'm really liking the idea of the bed made from fencing - can't wait to see that one. All your bits look very interesting. It'll be fun watching the room come together.
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful quilt! and the rest
ReplyDeletelooks very exciting too - I am looking
forward to that room - isn´t it dull how
real life and real work always has to
interfere with the wonderful mini-world!

ReplyDeleteI find magazines really inspirational too and I am sure you will find some time to make a beautiful bedroom!

It will be a wonderful bedroom I love the idea of the bed with the fencing it will be very french!
ReplyDeleteOhhh...I remember years ago when we made those tiny embroideries. Mine is glued into a bedroom given to my bonus-daughter. The iron fence is a brilliant idea for a bedrack, and I´m pretty sure is not going to stay all black ;0)
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking great and so inspiring! Can't wait to see the results! :)
ReplyDeleteInspiration indeed! You are one smart cookie thinking of using fencing as bed ends, I'm certainly going to remember that one... Looking forward to seeing where all this inspiration takes you (when you have time).
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your nice comments! I need first of all a house to place my stuff..but can´t decide which one, they all seem to have a lot of rooms with stairs which I don´t find very exiting, so I´m still looking ;-)
