Books for the Orangerie

I has been a long time, since I made something for the Orangerie. I thought it needed some garden books, so I made a pile, using Photoshop and a printer. I prefer glossy photopaper, but haven´t got anything here, so the result became a little bit different from what, I had in mind. I can´t see it with my own eyes, but the photos surely reveal how old and used they already have become. I´ll change the cover when I get a different kind of paper.
The titles are danish, and the books are about old and historic roses, english roses, gardening in large pots, fuchsia, christmas roses and easter bells (heleborius) and geraniums..

Garden work

Did you finish your preliminary garden work yet? Did you plant your preferred seeds, put the summer plants in pots for the terrace or your balcony, move the lawn for the first time, cut the roses and fertilize them, so that you will have a lot of flowers this year?
Well, I still need to do a lot this year, I guess miniworld is taking a lot of my time...

Having a party?

I don´t get much mini-done these days, but I did some shopping on the internet. I love the small winebottles from Hanneke, and I couldn´t just choose a single one or two. And after all, who might know which wine your guests would like, you have to be prepared ;-) The hydrangea is the one, I made at the last get-together at Annies house, it has gotten a little smashed during transportation, unfortunately.The corkskrew was a gift from Hanneke, thank you so much!

Yesterday the sun was shining at my mini-eranthis, today the rain has been pouring down on the "real" ones - it sure is april, and the rain has its beauty too..

Yet, some more details..

..I recieved a packet in the mail today with a lot of small items that I ordered on E-bay..I´ll show you some more in the next few days.
There was some more stuff for the Orangerie, as I am beginning to plan the next part of the house, the more pottery-and-with-earth-like-part. I got the two small boxes with seeds in the mail and added the two pots, where I have "planted" what was originally red onions, and put a little green shoots in them, so you can see, that things ARE growing right now ;-)

Hortensia

I love hortensia in all its colours and variants..so I made this for the Orangerie from a kit. In fact it was quite easy, and this time I like the result. I will soon be ready to show you some more of the Orangerie and Brocante, but I work the opposite of most people,I think, getting the walls and the floors finished as the last thing ;-)

More spring dreaming

Another snowstorm is coming..so I´m making spring- and summerflowers for the Orangerie. I made a pelargonia of 2 kits to make it large enough. I wanted it to be something in between the kind you call "Rose bud" and "Queen Ingrid". But I think the leaves are too small and too light green to fit exactly. Then I made some narcissus of the material left..the inside of the flower is pink and double, a whole new hybrid I guess ;-) I had too add a small bowl I just made too..

Waiting for spring

The days are getting longer, but here it is a very cold winther. We are all longing for warmer days with sun and to see the little signs of spring in the soil. Are the first flowers on their way or do we have to wait longer than this? This year everything is frozen in Denmark.
Nevertheless its time to plan the summer. Both the holidays and the gardens. What do you want this year? Flowers, vegetables, roses, berries? Time to get some seed catalogues and begin the realization. Let the sunshine in!
