I´ve spent a few days in Rome not concentrating on the big turists attractions but looking at the beauty in the small things. Unfortunately I didn´t take a lot of pictures, but I thought I would show you a few that inspires me in my miniature work.
First pictures of antique stores and renovation work..
And the buildings..
..and a picture of a restaurant miniature in Piazza Navone..
hé oui une superbe boutique d'antiquités , cela me rappelle lorsque j'ai faite la mienne , ce fut un immense plaisir .
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you liked my city. Wonderful pictures for your inspiration. In Rome, especially in the center, near Piazza Navona, you can find many of this old shops and many beautiful vintage items. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. Yes Maria, most of the pictures are taken in the old jewish area around Campo del Fiore, and around Piazza Navona as well as in Trastevere, as you of course recognice of the pictures. These are my absolute favorite places in Rome. They carry you very quickly away from all the rush and traffic, and suddently you find yourself in a very calm place.

ReplyDeleteMagnifiques moments de dépaysement. Rome est une très belle et surprenante ville.
ReplyDeleteLe restaurant miniature est superbe. Bravo à celui ou celle qui l'a créé !
Thanks for sharing pictures! So inspiring and beutiful scenes...I would love to travel to Italy again...
ReplyDeleteLena!
Thanks for commenting. Caterina: I didn´t buy anything, I found the toy shop on Piazza Navona, but I didn´t find anything special. So I just focused on the inspiration for my Petit Brocante shop and on the fantastic patina on buildings...I could go on forever studying that ;-)

ReplyDeleteLooks quite faboulus.
I can see you've been busy for the last months.
So have I, but not with miniatures, but I'll try to catch up.

I love Italy too but I have never been to Rome . I will I am sure and when I am there, I will remember all these pictures that you have posted Susanne. I may peer into the same shops and drink a cappucino at the same cafe :).
