Renovation

Did you think that Petit Brocante is only a web shop and not a physical shop in miniature? Well if you did, you were wrong. Maybe it´s because I forgot to show you some pictures. These days Petit Brocante is being renovated.

It needed some new (antique though) tiles on the floor, a new layer of paint on the walls and some interior rearrangements. So the physical shop will be closed for a little while, but you can still order from the web shop.

Heres a sneek peek through the doors and a window. Nothing much in there now, but a lot of new old items will be added, when the shop opens again. I will invite you over to celebrate then..

Please remember to click the pictures for a larger, brighter and more detailed view.

  3. Thanks for your comments!
Sans! - the new old tiles are the ones in front of the shop. The considered the others in the other post to be too dark for the look I want for the shop. So I´ll use them in another project ;-)

  7. Thanks for your comments!
Mona: The tiles are prints from photos of tiles, and I print them on photopaper. I glue them on heavy cardboard, give them a coat of varnish, cut them out one by one, and then I make the floor just like you do with real tiles. There I got the idea for my next post, I´ll show you how to make the tiles.

    Klem Janne

  14. Dear Susanne, I'm happy to hear from you (I also read the previous post but I had zero time to write comments in recent weeks): Your store is already wonderful, while still a building site!
I wish you good summer and good job, my dear friend :-)

  16. Thank you for your nice comments! Nice holidays from me to you and your families too!
Janne: Det er en frygtelig tragedie i Norge, vi tænker på jer!
Marlies: There is a stair leading to a roof terrace. I will place the more outdoor vintage items there, but I am considering to make a real room there also..
