Not much to show today. I painted a couple of doors for the house, aged them and changed the doorknobs. The doorknobs are cheap golden ones from Euro Mini´s (EM1191), and I aged them with a golden paint marker, creme acrylic paint and varnish. Now they look a lot like the ones Lea Frisioni has in her book.
The bird nearly made itself..the white parakite from one of the bird cages were calling for some paint and a stand.
You've got a talent of making everything more pretty than it was Susanne! Beautiful doors and doorknobs!
ReplyDeleteYou're right - they look like china handles. What a good idea. Such a simple change but very effective.
ReplyDeleteNice touch you´ve given the doorhandles, and no it´s far from the same as mine... I want yours now! The bird is pretty :0)
ReplyDeleteMe gusta mucho los resultados Susanne!
ReplyDeleteQue maravilla que pueden encontrar , todas esas maravillas y así darle un toque personal , por aquí no lo hay, ni accesorios, ni muebles ni nada.
Un beso
Flor

ReplyDeleteThank you so much! In my world it´s not just all about collecting the right stuff, but also a lot of rethinking. To make miniatures is a lot about being innovative, I think thats the feeling that keeps us all going on in this field. For me at least it´s where the fun is..
ReplyDeleteLove, Susanne
El resultado es genial! me gusta el acabado de las manillas y el de las puertas. Un beso.

Hello Susanne,
ReplyDeleteCould you tell me a little about the half glazed door please. It is new to my eyes, is it a standard door available off the shelf in Denmark ?. Every now and again I see items which are obviously made by the same manufacturer in China, that are only available in certain countries. There is another half glazed door with the bottom panel that has crossed rails, that I have only seen on American blogs.
Thank you.
Ian
Me encanta tu blog tienes cosas muy elegantes y con muy buen gusto felicidades
ReplyDeleteSusanne, even when you have little to show, is always something nice :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the patina that you gave at the door and the little bird is a love.
The handles, of course, a touch of genius!
Mini lovely hugs, Flora
Te quedaron muy lindos los picaportes!! Da la casualidad de que son los mismos que tengo en una de mis casas!! Pero yo nos envejecí y no me quedaron tan lindos... Un besote enorme!!

I like very much the door knobs, they are far better the way you decorated them than the original ones. Perfect for the doors.

ReplyDeleteIan:
I haven´t been able to find the same door in the danish web shops (it camw with the house and I don´t know the name of the compagny), but it looks like they mostly sell Euro Minis (EM), here are a link to doors:

Thank you Susanne,
ReplyDeleteI have had a look on their website and found some interesting things. Also, many Dansk words are easily found to be similar to English spellings, so it`s easy to navigate.
Glad when I get to your stage, although, I am enjoying constructing the school right now.
Kindest
Ian
