Now I'm preparing one for the nursery: These gaudy cages for birds, repainted, become extraordinarily beautiful! Yours are really impressive :-) Mini hugs, Flora
They're fabulous! The colouring is perfect. I've been looking at mine and thinking they will be kind of 'tricky' to paint, did you spray them with the base colour and then add others with a brush?
i adore your birdcages!! i have just bought some to play around with, you have given me inspiration!! don't you just love how everyone shares ideas.. such a wonderful community!!! xx
Thank you very much! Norma, I didn´t spay first, but I should have, because its very difficult to paint inside the cages. I used black-glossy paint as a base but let the gold shine through a few places. Then I used a green and a brown acrylic paint and a gold permanent marker. Love, Susanne
I really can't believe it! You have a Indian Ringneck parakeet Susanne :):). And you have painted him a gorgeous home! Now maybe you can train him to tell fortune or better still, direct air traffic :).
I have always loved birdcages. Yours are great improvement from the white versions that I have seen in shops here as well.
Ohhh woooow... I have the exact same cages and my patina is so poorly made compared to yours. They are BEAUTIFUL!!! Wonderful work Susanne... Hugs
ReplyDeleteMuch better now, I am sure.
