Did the floor

I suceeded making the floor in the entrance room, very much the way I wanted it. It´s made from prints on glossy photo paper that I cut out and glued onto cardboard. I really takes hours and hours to make the tiles, but I think it´s worth it. I am surprised how much they look like real tiles when they are treated like that.

  2. I love that design and those colors. You laid those tiles so perfectly it is hard to see that they are all individual and not just one piece.

  26. Thank you so much for all your kind comments!
A special thank you to my husband who also made a comment (!) ;-)
I can recommend this tile method, although it takes time. Please feel free to ask me, if you have questions.
To Evelien: No I didn´t make the bench, in fact it is a cheap one, can´t remember where I bought it, maybe it´s an Euromini thing. I am making plans for that one too, don´t exactly know yet, but the porportions are allright, I think.
Wish you all a very nice weekend!
    Love, Susanne

  31. Hi Susanne,
I have write you an email but I receive and Out of the office (or at least I think) so i leave this comment here just in case :)
I would love to do a SWAP with you :) You know that I love your blog and the your miniature style
Let me know what do you want from me for the SWAP, it will be a pleasure for me.
In fact these days I have been doing two roomboxes...the japanese roombox for my niece and another one for me: A bedroom with two levels. I can not show the bedroom in my blog because I would like to take part in a roombox competition in the coming Barcelona Miniature Fair (mid September). So I have a lot of work...I have to prioritize the bedroom becaus eI do not have too much time and it is not small. Although I have the bed and few furniture but I still need a lot of decoration items, stairs, flowers,....My idea is to mix several styles: scandinavian, rustic, mediterranean and shabby chic...LOL...strange right?.... I know always how to start but I never know how it will finish...LOL
Anyway....the Japanese roombox will be defined depending on the final furniture because then I will decide where I put the panels with rice paper.
Let me know what you need or like for your project please.
Love and besos (kisses in Spanish)

  32. Your floor came out so wonderful!!! What is in between the tile? It looks like you grouted it! Gorgeous color choice!!!

  33. Thanks again!
Eva, I E-mailed you back, don´t worry about the out-of-office-thing!
Patty, Yes its grout, I grouted it like it was real tiles (after having giving the tiles a bit of varnish, so they could stand it).
    Love, Susanne
