It is not as easy, as I thought it would be..making bags. My glue wasn´t suitable,I got it all smeared out on the nice little skins and glued my fingers together. So I decided to sew it together instead. I´ve only made two bags for now and a very small purse. I forgot my own camera in my summerhouse, so the photos are not of the best quality, they seem to get too shiny.
You create lovely bags and also new words, I think.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a pretty floor you have done.
The corner of a woman - very nice.
Nina
they are superb!!!
ReplyDeleteI think the results are very good! )I can't wait to see more bags!
ReplyDeleteLucia
They're very nice Susanne, especially like the tiny purse. By the way, when you are working with superglue it's a good idea to keep some acetone nearby so that you can 'unstick' yourself! I didn't know about this myself, it's some very good advice that Marion left on a blog recently for someone else who was having the same problems. I'm not sure if you know Marion or not, she has several blogs, a general mini one is

Lovely bags - well done!!
ReplyDeleteI also think you did pretty well! I love the small purse! I would love one in mini, but also in real life too! ;-))
ReplyDeleteThe bags look great and I like the way you display them for the photos.
ReplyDeleteI love the purse! The bags have great leather pattern! I know that when the glue doesn't want to keep things together...glad you could sew it:)
ReplyDeleteMamma mia Susanne! Your bags are also beautiful and the purse is fabulous! What you used to make the metal closure? I love it, really, is worth sticking your fingers!
ReplyDelete:-)
Really nice bags, Susanne -- I think snakeskin is harder to work with than leather, myself, because it is so papery. I think you've done a wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteThank you all of you for your nice comments!
ReplyDeleteNina, the floor is just a piece of scapbook paper so far. The room is going to be a bedroom mostly with women stuff.
Norma, thanks for the tip, I´ve used nailpolish remover, it´s almost the same ;-) I´ll have a look on Marions blog.
Flora, I bought the metal finding at Miniseum.dk, it´s VERY small and thin.
Love, Susanne
Susanne - the bags look great! I too have been disappointed with glue at times like these - nothing like a good old-fashioned needle and thread to get the job done!
ReplyDeleteCynthia
These are lovely! The snakeskin is so thin and makes it look more realistic.
ReplyDeleteÅ hvor pene dine vesker ble, likte godt den lille også.
ReplyDeleteTakk for linken, skal prøve å finne butikken i sommer.

You´ve done a great job, making those beautiful bags with fingers glued together ;0) The purse is adorable. I want one too... Have to remember the finding next time I order from Miniseum.
ReplyDeleteAnd I noticed the dresser in the background, it´s beautiful. I´ve been looking at the same in mahogany :0)
Congratulations! Your bags are very good, I like the purse too.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment on my blog.
Geneviève
Susane are beautiful and I too feel the same with the glue, I hate it! I always end up with webbed fingers and stained piece, but I finally founf a glue that works great, maybe I know is the TACKY GLUE, anyway, the bags have been great
ReplyDeleteA hug

It is a very agreeable corner is charmed with to me, the purses are brilliant.
An embrace
They look fantastic to me! I love the warm colors. Haven't tried making purses or luggage myself but it's on my list.

Thanks again for your comments!
ReplyDeleteBirthe from www.miniseum.dk wrote to me and gave me some tips about glue. She told me that Tacky Glue is good, because it won´t smear and you can mix it with superglue, in case you want a quicker drying and stronger glue. It can be added with a syringe and you can place it in a block of flamingo when you don´t use it. This way you don´t need to take the lid on and off in your working process.
Thanks for the advice, Birthe!
Love, Susanne
The bags look great.
ReplyDeleteElis
You have done very well with those bags , my dear :). The littlest one is so cute.
ReplyDeleteGlue to me is both best friend and bane! But needle and thread , very tricky!
I think that mosaic floor is so brilliant! Very pretty!
What is a block of flamingo?
O yes, I hope my parcel reaches you when you are home from that fabulous holiday. FINALLY!! :) The pictures of Tuscany you put up are breath-taking!!
Thank you Elis and Sans!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, Sans I will look forward to your parcel!
