Garden work

Did you finish your preliminary garden work yet? Did you plant your preferred seeds, put the summer plants in pots for the terrace or your balcony, move the lawn for the first time, cut the roses and fertilize them, so that you will have a lot of flowers this year?
Well, I still need to do a lot this year, I guess miniworld is taking a lot of my time...

  1. Another pretty tableau from you Susanne. Your wooden box turned out so sweet. Love the willow wreaths, I have to make some too.

I´ve been working in the garden all day, and the result is a sore back and a lot less weed in front of the house. My mini-ing has been on hold today.

  2. Lovely setting! I've been working in my garden too. Have the scratches from my roses as a thank you ;)

How did you make the lovely lavender? The stems look very real (are they?)

  3. I love everything but especially the box and contents. I was hoping to buy a watering can in a style like yours at the Sydney fair but the only ones I saw had big handles which I didn't like - they were the same from every seller so they must be the style this 'season'. I don't really NEED a watering can, I just wanted one ;) And I would like to visit your orangerie for a tea, or perhaps a nice little wine on a spring afternoon ...

  4. Thank you!
Annie: The wreaths are made from the dry material of the plant called architect solace, it climbs in the big spruces of my summer house garden, and seem to do a lot of work by itself, as it is twisting around itself several times.
Evelien: Annie made the first example of this lavender, I only copied it. I don´t know what the leaves are called in neigher danish or english, it is a lot of years since I bought it. Try to look where they sell materials for mini-railroads. I bought the lavender-material at the Farum-fair, but I think you can find it a lot of places.
Norma: You are always welcome in my house and you choose the drinks ;-)Hope you had a nice time at the Sydney Fair!

  10. Hi Susanne. I've done a lot of gardening too, but I also had time to sit on my new garden bench and read a little in a book called "My container garden". I haven't had a lot of time to do miniatures, but I'm working on a miniature display... Most of the time I'm writing on the project for my examination. It has to be finished in about 3 weeks. Ugh!

  12. such beautifull pictures, your little scenes always put a big smile on my face and cheer me up! Also beautifull treasures, the little bird house and the green box! I have planted the seeds and flowers for this year! My tomatoplants in fact are already about 60centimeters tall and my beds of violets are blooming happily!

  13. Thank you for your updates on the gardening front and your sweet comments. I wish, I could spend more time in my garden right now.
Several of you commented on the green wooden box, its made out of the left out materials for the chairs, I described earlier (the cut outs in the back of the chair).
Annie made the beautiful birdshouse for me.
